The second contest on Saturday 26th April 2014 features the 2004 former champion Howard Mawson from Eccleshill Victoria who survived a scare the previous round against tough opponent and Bradford team player Mark Slater, going 3-0 behind it wasn’t looking good for Mawson but on the return leg he bit down hard found his form as he piled on the pressure frame after frame and came through a 4-3 winner in nothing but a brilliant performance.

Anthony Green future star

Howard Mawson 2004 winner
VS
He is up against brother of four times champion Gareth Green, Anthony representing the Green Harold Club a twice Bradford pairs winners and he has already shown everybody what he is capable of noticeably the beating down of nine times champion Wayne Cooper in the first round comfortably 4-1 and with numerous high breaks in the conservative league he is certainly a player to watch.
