It’s that time of year again when the sun will appear more frequently cues will hang up and golf clubs come out for many of you, with warmer days around the corner another season is coming to a end, Our site has provided much more snooker information than last season for our district which as always been our aim so we are on the up people.
This however is not possible without the constant updates from league secretaries Dave Parrott (CL), Eddie Ratcliffe (DH lge), Paul Ascough (SB) and of course Richard Bakes valuable right on cue section provided for the T&A paper shown every Thursday.
People have also sent me reports and pictures from events when i was unable to attend these myself, so big thanks to you also you know who you are.
Yorkshire Snooker League division one captains have been a massive help sending in results as they’ve been played via text and messages so i am able to keep a unofficial updated division table always, would love the same next season guys and would like to encourage division two captains to do the same if at all possible.
Bradford has had another successful season in the Yorkshire scene, Bradford no1 snooker side completing a hat-trick of div1 titles, Cooper & Firth taking the Yorkshire Pairs title making sure the title returns back to Bradford for three consecutive years after the Green brothers victory last season and Cooper & Firth the year before that.
Bradfordian Josh Walker brought home the Yorkshire Handicap title beating G. Smyth in the final also from Bradford.
Wayne Cooper looks for his fourth Yorkshire singles title on the 5th June at NSC when he competes in the final versus Harrogates powerhouse Gyles Behbood, we all wish you the very best of luck Wayne.
Up and coming prospect of the game Russel Morgan playing out of the South Bradford league won the Yorkshire U19’s title to add to his 2013 seasons u16 title and will certainly be challenging for the senior tile in years to come.
Bradford Snooker singles final is at Great Horton Cons on 16th May whilst the pairs final will be played 9th May at Eccleshill Victoria Cons with Hey’s trophy team final on the 21st May and finally Hopkinson plate final 14th May.
All spectators are welcome to watch all these events
A popular page on the site is the Snooker high break board with three century breaks recorded highest from Wayne Cooper 105 and leading the most entries (breaks over 40) is Lewis Walsh with 18 entries, but with Cooper and Green still active in the last remaining events it’s possible he could be over taken…watch this space!!
A photo album added to the site’s Gallery is the Local Players album with some familiar faces to be seen, anybody playing from our leagues/district and want your mugshot in the album send me a Snooker/Billiard shot picture like the ones shown and it shall be added.
Past and Present pages are coming along nicely for me this is valuable information not to be found anywhere but here, still some missing info but we are working to gather as much as possible so please bare with us.
Bsa-cuesports has now been kind of running since 2013 with plenty of teething problems in that year we seem to be moving forward now.
May i remind you that Bsa-Cuesports still requires sponsorship for help with costs of running the site and improvements, so if anyone is interested in what we can offer in return and wants to speak further please don’t hesitate to contact me via this site, donations via paypal are also welcomed and would help to cover site costs.
I am already looking forward to 2015/16 season so lets keep those cue arms warmed up 🙂
Thanks for your interest
