Message of Sympathy

It is with the greatest regret that I have to inform the players of ALL snooker leagues, Dudley Hill, Con League and South Bradford of the death of Dick Ackroyd.  As many of you know Dick played in all the leagues in Bradford and had a heart attack playing in the Dawson Trophy at Wibsey Con Club. He was given CPR by a team mate and a player from Wibsey until the paramedics arrived and eventually got him stable.  He was transferred to the BRI when he underwent scans etc to diagnose his severe illness. Unfortunately whilst having the scans, it was discovered he had a shadow on his lung.  He was operated on but unfortunately passed away several days later.

Dick will be missed by everyone that knew him, but especially the players and members of Girlington Con. Club.  Funeral arrangements have yet to be finalised. But the T&A will be carrying the announcement when details are known.

On behalf of the Bradford Conservative Games League, our deepest sympathy goes out to Dick’s family, may he rest in peace.

Dave Parrott    —   Chairman,  Bradford Cons. Games League
