Right On Cue

Clayton Liberal Club had a very successful season this time out, picking up a host of trophies in the South Bradford League and largely dominating the Snooker side of the competitions.

The Snooker team won the League title and also the team knockout, with Mark Slater and Stuart Harker adding the Snooker Pairs Trophy to the collection. Slater himself had a particularly fine season, in addition to the league events, he made the Final of the Bradford Snooker Championship, being edged out by 9 time Champion Wayne Cooper and was also part of the Bradford No.1 side that won their third consecutive Yorkshire Inter District league title,

Clayton Rugby Club’s achievement of winning the Billiards League title, means they have won this 5 times in the last 6 years, with a runners up spot on the other year.

This has been Paul Ascough’s first season running the South Bradford League and the general opinion from around the clubs is that he has done an exceptional job and ensured continuity throughout all competitions.
