Bradford’s Wayne Cooper enjoyed a terrific weekend, progressing from a tough field of 74 players (over 40’s) many of whom are ex-professional’s for a chance to play at London’s famous Alexandra Palace or better known to the Snooker minded person the Alley Pally.

Here he will compete against some of the world’s greats, likes of Hendry, Parrot, Taylor, White and our very own former World Champion and current Seniors Masters Champion Bradford’s Joe Johnson.

This is a massive achievement for Wayne having overcome five tough matches before facing off in the final verses Rory McLeod a name we all know very well from the Tv stage.

His route to the final was Adam Denham (3-0) Neal Jones (3-0) Neal Craycraft (3-1) Wayne Townsend (3-0) Stuart Watson (4-0)

Wayne was victorious in the final a well-deserved 4-3 winner compiling a superb break of 60 in the deciding frame.

Wayne’s match as well as the other matches will be shown on our tv screens using freesports channel.
