Hope you all had a great Christmas. Mine was good except I managed to smash my phone and lost most of my contact numbers as a result.

Could you please drop me a text message giving me your name and contact number so I can update my new phone etc. I still have the same number

Also there are a few knockouts games either still to play or still to let me have the results, the majority of which are singles snooker. Please chase your players to get them arranged, played and the result sent to me by Sunday 4th January.

South Bradford Games League Weekly Update

Herewith the draws for the Team Knockouts, which was made at the delegates meeting last night, and this includes the updated players list for these knockouts.

Also attached is the amendment letter showing new players and ALL the new handicaps for players with a win percentage of 30 or less and 70 or more. These handicaps come into effect from the 5th January in ALL competitions.
Could you also please note the correct telephone number for Great Horton Conservative Club, as this has been printed wrong in the handbook. Correct number is 01274 571944.
 
Please also encourage any of your players who have not played their knockout matches to get these arranged and played, and also to contact me with the result. Any match that has not been completed by midnight on Sunday 4th January will result in the match been made void and both players will be scrubbed from the competition.
 
Can I take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and good luck for the second half of the season.

Hodgkinson to be commemorated with trophy

Eric Hodgkinson, secretary of the Bradford Billiards and Snooker Association pictured in 1997, who died in 2013 and in whose memory the Bradford Snooker handicap Trophy will be named

ONE of Bradford’s most efficient and longest-serving administrators is to have a trophy in his memory.

The Eric Hodgkinson Trophy, named in honour of the man who was secretary of the Bradford Snooker & Billiards Association for over 25 years, will be presented to the inaugural winner of the Heineken Bradford Snooker Handicap on Saturday at Eccleshill Victoria Conservative Club (7.30).

The final of the tournament, which has been a roaring success under tournament directors Eddie Ratcliffe and Dave Parrott, is between Undercliffe Cricket Club duo Adam Tipper and Sonny Sandhu.

Hodgkinson, who died in 2013, also organised all the Bradford Association’s competitions and managed Bradford’s snooker and billiards teams, as well as being secretary of the Yorkshire Association.

Conservative League Message

Important-Announcement-292x300The complete draw for the next rounds of all competitions will be given out at the Delegates Meeting on Thursday 18th December at Shipley Bowling Club. ANY matches in ANY competition not completed by that date will result in BOTH players/teams being scratched, as will none notification of results.
