Wayne Cooper in action still on track for a 100% frame win record for a second season running.
Right on Cue
Mark Slater (Pictured left) nicked the crucial deciding frame to earn defending Division One champions Bradford No 1 a 4-2 win at Sheffield No 1 in the Yorkshire Inter District League.
The match looked to be heading for a draw as Slater found the going tough and opponent James Dobell produced a solid first frame to win it 80-35 before building what looked to be a decisive lead in the second.
Dobell cleared the colours up to pink to leave him 16 points ahead but a lack of experience from the youngster then saw the white disappear down a pocket.

Mark Slater winning frame
This allowed Slater to take pink and black as he edged the frame 58-55 to the delight of a large travelling support.
Wayne Cooper (Pictured above) had earlier won both his frames against Tom Priest, a 43 break in the first taking it 71-5 before backing this up 57-39 after a tight second.
Former Yorkshire champion Martin Finnigan pulled a frame back for Sheffield with a 57-37 effort and a quick 46 break early in the second looked set to level the match.
But Bradford captain Kevin Firth produced an excellent 41 clearance under pressure to snatch it 54-50 for a 3-1 advantage, leaving the stage clear for Slater.
