BRADFORD duo Mark Hirst and Stephen Kershaw will be competing in the World Billiards Championships at the Northern Snooker Centre on Monday – with over a week of top-quality play lined up.
The event starts tomorrow with qualifying, prior to the Jim Williamson Memorial Competition taking place on Saturday and Sunday before the main action gets underway the next day.
Defending champion David Causier will again be one of the favourites alongside Mike Russell, Peter Gilchrist and Rob Hall.
THE draws for the Bradford Snooker Championships have been made and ten-time defending champion Wayne Cooper opens up his defence with a tie against Dave Tolson of Cue Gardens.

Hey’s Trophy Defending Champions Undercliffe Cricket Club B – from left: Paul Davey, Phil Gaunt, Damien Bentley and Dave Stirk
THE deadline for the Bradford Snooker Championships (singles and pairs), plus the Hey’s Trophy team event is tomorrow, but entries will be accepted for the singles and pairs right up to the draw, which will take place at at Undercliffe Cricket Club on Sunday (4pm).
However, entry fees must be paid by this time to be accepted into the competition.
Entries will not be accepted after the draw, which players are welcome to watch live.
Details of these draws will appear in this column and will be sent out to all players next week.

Herewith a registration change effective immediately Please note that the player is available for LEAGUE games only.
Also we still have tickets available for the Steve Davis Night on Saturday 15th October @ Fields Club. Please could you ask members of your teams if there is anyone interested in coming along to watch one of Snooker’s Greats. There are a couple of chances for people on the night to win a frame against Steve in our South Bradford raffle. Remember all monies raised from the ticket sales will go to the Bradford Burns unit and all monies raised on the raffle will go to the South Bradford League, which could in turn increase prize money at the end of the season.
