Tabb to referee sold-out clash between Trump and O’Sullivan

FIVE-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan takes on Judd Trump at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre on Saturday in the fifth round of the Eleven30 Challenge Series taking place across the UK, with the overall winner earning £30,000.

The series is currently tied at two matches apiece after O’Sullivan whitewashed Trump 6-0 in Peterborough last Saturday.

Trump won the opening two rounds in June at Frimley Green (6-5) and Belfast (6-4) before O’Sullivan started his comeback with a 6-4 triumph at Goffs, County Kildare last month.

The Richard Dunn Sports Centre, where all 1,300 tickets have been sold, is the penultimate round of the series, with the final contest being at Preston Guild Hall on Sunday.

Doors open at 4pm in Bradford, with six-times world runner-up Jimmy White giving an exhibition at 5pm and former UK Championship winner John Virgo performing his legendary trick-shot routine at 6.45pm.

Former World Championship final referee Michaela Tabb will be in charge of the main match starting at 7.30pm, which is not necessarily the time printed on the tickets as White and Virgo were added to the schedule after they were printed.

There will be a raffle on the night and there will be three chances to play White and two chances to win a signed O’Sullivan snooker cue.

All bars and food facilities will be open from 4-11pm, while reduced rates for taxis have been agreed to help spectators get home.

O’Sullivan and Trump go head to head in Bradford

Belgian Aramith Tournament Champion Snooker BallsONE of the biggest snooker matches seen in Bradford for a number of years takes place on Saturday, September 10 at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre.

It sees five-times world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan taking on rising star and 2012 UK champion Judd Trump as part of the Eleven30 Series that has been taking place around the country.

O’Sullivan is probably the most naturally talented player of all time and most would argue the greatest cueman the sport has ever produced.

But this challenge event against Trump over a six-event series will test both players, with the winner taking the overall £30,000 prize pot.
