Sharp Intake of breath before derby semi-final

Clayton Rugby “A” reclaimed the Moorhouse Shield

THE second semi-final of the Bradford Snooker Pairs Championship takes place tonight (Thursday) at Great Horton Conservative Club (7.45).

Wayne Cooper and Kevin Firth face Josh Walker and Russell Morgan in a best-of-five frame match between Undercliffe Cricket mates at the Intake Road club.

The winners will take on Eccleshill Victoria Conservative duo Lewis Walsh and Howard Mawson, who came through their semi final 3-2 against Chris and John Wellham.

The final will also be at Great Horton Conservative Club next Thursday.

Spectators are welcome at both matches.

Clayton Rugby Club edged Great Horton Conservative Club in the Moorhouse Shield billiards final.

South Bradford Summer League Table/Results Week 6 Plus Ko Draws

SB.SUMMERHi Guys
HEREWITH the final Group update for this season. Obviously, now we move onto the Cup and Shield Knockouts.

CUP KNOCKOUT FORMAT:

The 4 winners will play at home against the 4 Runners Up.

The Group Winner with the highest Final Score will play the Runner-Up with the Lowest Final Score

Where 2 teams from the same club are both drawn at home then the highest ranked team takes priority.

SHIELD KNOCKOUT FORMAT:

The 4 3rd placed teams will play at home against the 4 4th placed teams.

The 3rd placed team with the highest Final Score will play the 4th placed team with the Lowest Final Score

Where 2 teams from the same club are both drawn at home then the highest ranked team takes priority.

CUP: Because Undercliffe “A” are already at home then Undercliffe “B” must play away.

Because Wibsey “B” are at home in the cup and Queensbury “B” are at home in the shield, Queensbury “A” must play away.

I hope it all makes sense but because we have a few clubs with 2 teams, then only 1 team can play at home, which means a few higher ranked teams must play away.

Cooper claims perfect ten after fightback in classic Bradford final

Wayne Cooper celebrates winning the Bradford Championship for the tenth time

IT was billed as the clash of the titans and the Bradford Snooker Championship final did not disappoint, as Wayne Cooper became the first player in the history of the event to win ten titles with a 4-3 triumph over Gareth Green.

The match at Great Horton Conservative Club saw the defending champion come from 3-0 down to beat four-time winner Green in a classic.

South Bradford Summer League Table/Results Week 5

After next week’s final round of group matches, could you please get your result sheets to me asap so I can arrange the fixtures for the Cup and Shield knockouts and get them distributed out.

South Bradford Summer League Table/Results Week 4

SB.SUMMERHi Guys

Herewith the Week 4 Update. As you will see there is this weeks result from Fields v Eccleshill outstanding, and also an outstanding match between Queensbury vs Ecclesill to be played.

I am away this weekend so I thought I’d better send out the tables with all the scores I have.

Any problems please let me know, as the totals for Undercliffe and Wibsey A were incorrect on last weeks tables – should be right now…..

Also just to let you know the Moorhouse Shield Billiards Final is at Chapel Green next Wednesday at 7.45pm between Clayton Rugby A and Great Horton Cons A. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
