Eccleshill Victoria player Darren Goy is through to the quarter finals of the Snooker Championship by defeating holder Wellham 4-2
BRADFORD’S No 1 snooker side extended their Division One lead to eight points in the Yorkshire Inter-District League after a hard-fought 5-1 victory at Sheffield No 3.
Wayne Cooper was behind by 40 points to Wayne Wootton but a superb snooker and clearance by the Bradford potter put the defending champions one up. He then got away early in the second frame, holding that lead for a 2-0 success.
Captain Kevin Firth followed up by winning both frames against Sean Reynolds, experience showing as the Bradford player tied the youngster up in knots and picked off points at will.
Will Lemons pulled a frame back for the home side but Mark Slater came good in the final encounter to complete an excellent away victory.

Hi Guys,
Here with this week’s update, League title races are hotting up as we come to the final month of the league season.
Please remind your players involved in the knockouts that the final date for matches to be played is Sunday 1st March. If they could get the results to me as soon as they have played then I will do the draws for the Semi-Finals at Clayton Rugby Club on that date, around 7.30 to 8pm. anyone wishing to come along is more than welcome.
Don’t forget it’s the league meeting next Thursday 26th February at Great Horton Conservative Club.

DEFENDING champions Leeds have avenged their early-season defeat to Bradford in the Yorkshire Inter-District Billiards League.
The visitors won 5-2 at Great Horton Cricket Club, skipper Jonathan Bagley being quickly into his stride with a break of 69 on his first scoring visit.
A break of 39 followed and he closed the game out with 55 unfinished, giving Paul Devitt very little opportunity to play in a 200-55 defeat.
