Bradford’s billiards team ended the season with a disappointing 5-2 defeat at home to Doncaster in theYorkshire Inter-District League.
In the first game, Doncaster’s Michael Leach made a break of 87, sandwiched between two 50s from Paul Devitt, who won 200-167 to secure two points for Bradford.
Doncaster’s Dave Parker included a break of 45 in a 200-107 victory over Stephen Kershaw, who just couldn’t keep his opponent away from the table.
Steve Wilman had a break of 47 and was looking good at 181-146, but Laurence Torn fought back to edge the game 200-195 to give Doncaster victory.
The Bradford No 1 snooker side could clinch the Division One title on Sunday (7.30pm) at Undercliffe Cricket Club, when the side takes on Sheffield No 3.
With two matches to go, three frames this week will secure back-to-back titles.
