Yorkshire handicap 2018 Entry Form

 

2017 event didn’t  happen but they can now finally get 2018 event running..

Entry forms are now available for the revamped Yorkshire Snooker Handicap which will be played at Corner Pockets in Rotherham. There will be two qualifying events, 15th April and 13th May, with the final stages taking place on the 20th May. Entry Fee is £15 but the initial format will  be based on group round robin matches, so players are guaranteed at least 3 matches of 3 frames. Deadline for entry is 31st March and entry fees must be paid by this time.

Defeat of Bradford No 1 gives Sheffield No 2 hope

Mark Slater stepped in for the unavailable Anthony Green versus Sheffield no2

BRADFORD’S No 1 snooker side experienced mixed fortunes over the last two weeks but still head Division One of the Yorkshire Inter-District League, albeit now by only two points over Sheffield No 2.

Third-placed Leeds arrived at Undercliffe Cricket Club looking for a good win to pull points back on the leaders but hosts Bradford finished with a 4-2 victory.

South Bradford Games League Weekly Update

Hi Guys

Herewith the updates for Week 25.

PLEASE NOTE: Regarding the 2 x Billiards matches that were postponed this week:
Both these matches MUST be played before the final round of matches on Wednesday 14th March.

If any match is not completed before this date then BOTH teams LOSE ALL available points from the match, which in the current context of the Billiards season could mean them losing the League Title.

Also Individual and Pairs knockout matches must be completed by next Sunday 11th March at 5pm…….please remind your players.

Play-off needed to decide last Bradford billiards semi-finalist

Mark Hirst, is seeking a ninth Bradford Billiards Championship title

THREE of the four semi-finalists have been confirmed for the Bradford Billiards Championship.

They are eight-times winner Mark Hirst and Bradford captain Stephen Kershaw, who both won all four of their qualifying matches, and Richard Bowes, who won three.

Gareth Green seeking fifth Bradford title as he knocks out holder

FOUR-time winner Gareth Green is the first player through to this year’s Bradford Snooker Championship semi-finals

FOUR-time winner Gareth Green is the first player through to this year’s Bradford Snooker Championship semi-finals after a 4-1 victory against holder Mark Ball.

Ball had the chance to go 2-1 up but Green took the frame and this proved to be the turning point, although the match was much closer than the scoreline suggests.

Green was also in good form for Bradford No 1 at the weekend, helping them to their sixth consecutive 5-1 victory in the Yorkshire Inter-District League – this time against Harrogate at Undercliffe Cricket Club.
