South Bradford Summer League 2015 – Week 8

SB150Hi Guys,

Here with a Team Snooker update. We are now at the semi final stages of both the Cup and Plate Knockouts.
Also on the update I have posted the venues and dates for both finals. These have both to be confirmed 100%, but both parties can see no problems with staging these finals. If there are any changes I will let you know.
For all you hawkeyes out there I have noticed that I haven’t changed the “Week” number on the “fixtures for”. This should read “Week 8” but the date is correct…….
I am still owed monies for registration and weekly subs from Chapel Green, Clayton Libs and Great Horton Cricket but I have spoken to all concerned and these should be paid by this weekend.
Any problems please give me a shout.
Cheers
Paul

A REMATCH of last year’s Moorhouse Shield final takes place on Thursday night as holders Great Horton Conservative Club take on Clayton Rugby Club in billiards’ showpiece event.

Clayton have enjoyed success in the South Bradford Billiards league over the last six years, winning the title five times and finishing runners-up in the other year, but Great Horton are looking for their third consecutive Moorhouse title in what should be an excellent encounter.

The match starts at 7.45pm at Chapel Green Liberal Club and spectators are welcome.

Right On Cue

Clayton Liberal Club had a very successful season this time out, picking up a host of trophies in the South Bradford League and largely dominating the Snooker side of the competitions.

The Snooker team won the League title and also the team knockout, with Mark Slater and Stuart Harker adding the Snooker Pairs Trophy to the collection. Slater himself had a particularly fine season, in addition to the league events, he made the Final of the Bradford Snooker Championship, being edged out by 9 time Champion Wayne Cooper and was also part of the Bradford No.1 side that won their third consecutive Yorkshire Inter District league title,

Other awards for the South Bradford League were as follows:

South Bradford Summer League 2015 – Week 5

SB150Hi Guys,

Herewith the league update following the week 5 round of matches HERE.

Please note that next week is the last round of Group fixtures, and these results will determine the Week 7 fixtures.
Could I ask that you all try and get the result sheets to me as soon as possible after your match next week, so I can work out the fixtures as quickly as possible, With the Group stages finishing next week could I ask that ALL MONIES are collected, and I will be going round maybe on the Wednesday to collect. The £1 per player subs do not apply for the Knockout stages, which means each team will owe £34 for the season – £10 entry fee and £24 match subs.

Please note that 4 teams will be without a match for 2 weeks, whilst the preliminary matches are played, determining the semi-finals. I was looking to change this format to cut it down to 1 week, but will see how it runs this season as its a bit late in the day now.

If there are any problems please give me a shout

Cheers
Paul
