2017 Moorhouse Shield Draw and Details

Hi Guys

Herewith the Player Registrations, the Full Draw and blank Scoresheet for this years Moorhouse Shield Competition, made at Clayton Rugby club last night.

Match dates are at the bottom of the draws for each round, and this season the final will be played over 2 legs, in line with the rest of the Competition.

Team handicaps are made up by adding together the individual handicaps of the 4 players selected to play in each match. This team handicap is added to the 4 players scores to make up the team total. Team with the highest match total over the 2 legs wins and progresses to the next round.

Any teams who haven’t yet paid the entry fee could they arrange to do so before the start of the First Round on 31st May.

Trevor Kershaw bidding to retain Bradford billiards title

THE Bradford Billiards Championship takes place on Saturday at Cue Gardens, where Trevor Kershaw will be looking to retain his title after beating Paul Devitt in last year’s final.

Entrants are guaranteed a minimum of three one-hour matches during the round-robin stages, with the exact overall format being dependent on the number of entries.

Registration for the event will be up to 11.45am, with the competition set to get underway at noon.

Entry fee is £12, and further information is available from tournament director Stephen Kershaw (07815-014198).

Howard Mawson facing Mark Ball after tense Bradford Snooker Championship semi-finals

Bradford Snooker Championship finalist Mark Ball after winning the Bradford Conservative League’s Bob Bell Trophy

THIS year’s Bradford Snooker Championship final will be an all-Eccleshill Victoria Cons Club affair as 2004 champion Howard Mawson is set to take on Mark Ball on Saturday, May 20 at Great Horton Conservative Club.

Mawson hasn’t been in the final since lifting the crown, despite numerous appearances in the semi-finals, and took on doubles partner Lewis Walsh at Eccleshill.

Another snooker extravaganza from Hanging Heaton C.C 16th June 2017 see’s Bradford based Wayne Cooper play the Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan in a five frame challenge match very similar to the one that was held back in June 2016 where Cooper beat the Nugget Steve Davis.
