Lewis Walsh still has a chance of landing both singles and pairs titles in the Bradford Snooker Championships
ENGLAND Masters international Lewis Walsh remains on course for both Bradford Snooker Championship titles after a 4-0 victory over 2014 winner John Wellham in the singles quarter-finals.
The Bradford No 1 and Eccleshill Victoria Cons player also made it through to a second consecutive pairs final with partner Howard Mawson.
They came through 3-0 in their last-four clash with Wellham and his dad Chris, with Walsh making a 39 break and Mawson wrapping things up with a 51 in the last.
The duo are set to meet three-time champions Gareth and Anthony Green, who came through an epic semi-final 3-2 against five-times winners Wayne Cooper and Kevin Firth.
Cooper, and Anthony Green especially, were in good form, with Cooper making breaks of 66 and 69 while Green knocked in a 40 and the competition’s highest of 91.
