South Bradford 2017 Summer League Table/Results Week 5

Hi Guys

Herewith the update following Week 5 round of matches.

Just so everyone is aware, Fields unfortunately had the cloth ripped on one of their tables recently, which has been repaired as best as could be. Anyone playing at Fields during the remainder of the season is now aware of this and knows what to expect. The guys did ask if they should play all their remaining matches away from home, but this would be a nightmare as there are a lot of clubs who have 2 teams so would not be possible most weeks. Please make do as best you can as the table is the same for both players.

Denny defeats Snooker Handicap champion to progress to round two

Joe Hollings Bradford Handicap Champion 2016

CULLINGWORTH Conservative player Richard Denny knocked out defending champion Joe Hollings (Eccleshill Victoria Cons) in the first round of the Bradford Snooker Handicap, and will now host Peter Hamilton (Undercliffe Cricket Club) in the second round.

Adam Tipper, who won the event in 2014, faces Undercliffe clubmate Damian Bentley.

Four-time Bradford champion Gareth Green, who won the handicap event in 2015, together with ten-time Bradford champion Wayne Cooper have not entered, once again leaving the competition wide open.

* Matches to be played by Sunday, July 23.

Bradford’s Mark Hirst takes Yorkshire billiards handicap title

Bradford’s Mark Hirst Yorkshire Billiards Handicap Champion 2017

LEEDS potter Johnathon Bagley won a thrilling snooker final against Castleford opponent Peter Fisher at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds to become Yorkshire champion for the second time.

Bagley set off well, winning the opening frame 63-20, and extended his lead by making a break of 60 in a high-scoring, error-strewn second frame which he won 88-64.

Fisher found some fluency in the third frame, making a break of 36 to take it 70-44 despite Bagley knocking in a break of 43 in coming from 51 points down.

South Bradford 2017 Summer League Table/Results Week 4

Hi Guys

Thanks for all your prompt results, which has enabled me to update within 24 hours of all the matches – good stuff and keep it up !!!

SUMMER LEAGUE HERE

We had our first TIE last night as you will see from the result sheet – good handicapping (Haha !!!)

South Bradford 2017 Summer League Table/Results Week 3

Hi Guys

Herewith the results and tables update following this weeks matches.

For anyone from Great Horton Cons and Eccleshill Victoria, please note the result on this attachment is correct. The Eccleshill handicap was incorrect on the sheet. It should have been -160 and not -180, which means they actually won the match by 1 point…… sorry to the guys from Great Horton !!!!
I have attached a copy of this seasons rules, which I have tweeked some of the wording as it seemed a bit confusing.
Hope this is not as clear as mud – any problems give me a shout
